Why everyone keeps coming back.

Cafe Pozo CB is a charming and vibrant café situated in the heart of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, right on C. Trascuesta, 14. Renowned for its warm, inviting atmosphere and prime location next to the central market, this café has quickly become a local favorite and a must-visit spot for anyone seeking an authentic Andalusian breakfast experience.

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an ambiance steeped in nostalgia, thanks to the tasteful decoration featuring captivating old photographs of Sanlúcar. This thoughtful design choice connects visitors not only to the present-day charm of the café but also to the rich local heritage that surrounds it.

The true magic of Cafe Pozo CB, however, lies in its menu and the sensory delight it delivers each morning. Open as early as 6 am, it’s the earliest opening café in town—a blessing for early risers eager to start their day with quality fare. Customers rave about the simple yet delectable options, especially the traditional Spanish tostada smothered with fresh tomato, olive oil, and a generous layer of creamy manteca colora. For more indulgent tastes, the iberian ham toast and the legendary house-made tortilla come highly recommended, the latter praised repeatedly for its perfect balance of flavors and textures.

The coffees here are exceptional, robust yet smooth, perfectly complementing the crunchy warmth of freshly toasted bread topped with butter or jamón. One can sense the genuine care that goes into each cup and plate; the aromas of rich coffee mingling with the earthy scent of rustic bread create a sensory embrace that feels like a morning hug.

What truly sets Cafe Pozo CB apart is not just the food but the genuine hospitality. The staff is impeccably attentive and friendly, striking a perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. "El Cuqui," a standout waiter, embodies this spirit with his approachable and lively charm, always ready to share local insights, making every visit feel personal and connected.

It’s worth noting that the café buzzes with energy during peak hours, around 9 am to 1 pm, reflecting its popularity among both locals and visitors. While it gets lively and noisy, this vibrant atmosphere only adds to the experience, encapsulating the pulse of daily life in Sanlúcar.

With affordable prices, exceptional quality, and heartfelt service, Cafe Pozo CB is more than just a place to grab breakfast—it’s a beloved local institution that warmly invites you to savor tradition and community in every bite. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, starting your day here feels like becoming part of something genuinely special.

This cafe is the earliest opening in town with a six am opening time. They are located right next to the central market . Great service and food. My go to is the toast with tomato.Although on occasion, I would also have the iberian ham. Both the restaurant and the restrooms are clean. It gets very, very busy around 9 AM and stays busy until closing at 1pm. IT is VERY loud during those times. If you prefer quieter space, go well before nine am.
